Ultimate 30 While in Your 30’s Checklist

Ultimate 30 While in Your 30’s Checklist

Turning 30 or in your 30’s
and have read a lot of ‘before 30 bucket list’? How does that feel? Mixed

Interesting that it means a lot to us
approaching 30 or in our 30’s. If you’re like me, you may have written a list
you wish to accomplish before you reach this milestone.

Pressure builds when friends and family remind
you of the things in your life that aren’t working or unaccomplished. I don’t
like that pressure. Do you?

Don’t let others insist their dreams on you.
Relax. Write your own checklist. Give yourself grace if they don’t go as

Here’s mine:

   1.  Learn
something new often. Make it count. Tweet
   2.  Be serious in
building your financial life.
   3.  Move to
somewhere new especially when you’ve been there too long. New places come with
fresh ideas and new friends.

   4.  Live simpler.
Less whining, more grace. Tweet

   5.  Get a better
job or change careers if you’re not happy anymore. Get over fear, and venture
into a new career.

  • I'm almost 40. Does that mean I need an ultimate 40??! 🙂 I'm so glad you shared this at Booknificent Thursday on Mommynificent.com this week!

  • So cool you are posting over at Lux's blog! You both are awesome! Headed there now 🙂 Thanks for sharing with #SocialButterflySunday!

  • Great list – I'm in my 60's now and all these are true and to be taken seriously !!!! Go for it !!!

  • HI, thanks for sharing with us again on Literacy Musing Mondays. 😉

  • Great tips! Thanks for sharing 🙂

  • Love it! I'm in my 30s and loving the freedom that has come with just being me.

  • I love the check list for those approaching or in their 30's. At age 60 I decided on a new career. I had always worked in accounting, but decided to apply for a job at our local hospital in physical therapy. I was hired and enjoyed working there for two years. They made changes and let 4 of the aids go as the insurance company no longer allowed aids to write the treatments down. Immediately I was hired by the country and began in their accounting department. Now after 10 years I draw a small pension which helps greatly. Thank you for saying here as a guest and for Luz to invite you !

  • I simply HAD to stop and read this because… today is my half birthday! I am officially 39 (and 1/2) which means I only have six months left in my 30's. And as I read, I realized that I am blessed to have crossed everything off of my list. And now my new list contains only four words… "Enjoy and just be". Come check out my 6 month countdown to the big 4-0!(FMF #85)

  • Such a fun idea to have a 30 things to do in your 30's. Love it! Faith Filled Parenting LinkUp.

  • Great in your 30's bucket list! What fun

  • I can't believe I'll be 45 next month! Ifeoma, this is a great list and some fun things to include in a bucket list. Thanks for sharing with Thankful Thursdays.

  • Excellent list. I only have a few years left in my 30's, so this was a good opportunity to reflect and evaluate. Living simpler is something that I'm working on right now. I also like #29. Finding a mentor is incredibly important, as is being a mentor to someone else. While I don't have a mentor right now, I do have a great group of guy friends. We all hold each other accountable and build into each other's lives. Having this accountability and friendship, really does make a big difference. Thanks for the excellent 30's check-up.

    Wishing you a blessed week.

  • What a fantastic list, Ifeoma! I love the encouragement in all of the items and the fact that you titled this 30 DURING your 30s definitely puts less of that pleasure you were talking about. This reminds me so much of my 35 before 35 bucket list as well. I guess great minds really do think alike, don't they?

Thanks for sharing this on #SHINEbloghop. We're happy to have you participate today 🙂

  • Reading this post really reminded me how close I am to leaving my 30's behind… yet I still feel like I just entered them. Maybe time to start thinking of 40 things in my 40's?!

  • I'm over halfway through my 30s and they've been great! Much better than my 20s. But I'm still loving the list. 🙂

  • Heading over to read and comment 🙂

  • I liked your #12! My church is all about sharing your story. I've done it multiple times over the past year. You never know who needs to hear your story to find God's love 🙂 Stopping by from the SHINE blog hop!

  • I think learning something new everyday is important no matter what phase of life you're in. Taking finances seriously is key as well! Going to go check out the rest of the post!

  • I already love #2 and #5! So important and will lay a good foundation for the rest of your life!

  • Fun to read, lots of good ideas…I'm not in my 30s anymore, but some of these are for life!

  • I'm almost 30 but just had a baby, so my list has changed significantly but I am happy 🙂

  • How fun. I commented on the other blog, after the post.

  • Great list of things to do in your 30's

  • Fun to read … I'm afraid the 30's are in the rearview mirror for me, but those were the years when I was having all my kids, so sweet memories!
