Using Your Worship as Your War-ship

Hopeful, elated, joy-filled…

I sat in awe as the worship went on. My heart was overjoyed not because I had won the lottery, but because the ministration brought to mind God’s immense grace the previous year.
My thoughts aligned well with the worship and my heart bore witness of the Lord’s Grace that had brought us thus far. There were no words to describe my experience. My lips felt numbed as I bowed my heart in worship.
When there are no words to say, worship the Lord.

I heard it impressed upon my heart:  Worship is the unusual arsenal for War-ship this Year.

There are strange battles that can only be won in the place of our worship.

Like in the days of Joshua, some huge barriers we experience requires we pick up our harp, dancing shoes, lift our voices, bow our hearts and raise our hands and simply worship.
Great men who had victories understood the power of worship.  (Joshua 5:14)
This year I tune my heart to this one thing alone – Worship.  Very closely, I hold this scripture.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. John 4:23

Why does God seek us to worship?

Worship is all we are called to do. It is all we are created for (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

It is a privilege for us to worship Him.

All our individual purpose is rooted in worship.

Worship gives you unusual victories.

We can only worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24)

In whatever sphere of influence we find ourselves as wives, mothers, sisters…we are called to exude His glory through our worship.

Are you ready to commit to worship in the New Year?

I am super ready for intentional, wholehearted continuous Worship.

Prayer:

Lord, I come before you to worship. I have come for to behold the beauty of your holy name. Let everything in my life radiate your glory as I worship your Holy Name. Thank you, Lord for this privilege to worship you in Jesus’ Name.

  • <3 it! I'm featuring you tomorrow for Women With Intention Wednesday! You had the most popular post! 🙂 Congrats!

  • Thank you for this post. I am heading over to read the rest now. I agree that many breakthroughs happen through worship. I needed this reminder. 🙂

  • Ifeoma,
Just love this. Worship for sure is a great way to battle Satan. Prayer Room and Warship. On Sunday I had your experience as our pastor prayed for those who had different needs. My daughter had been in a serious car accident and as the prayer for our children flooded the sanctuary I cried Holy Spirit tears. That night a miracle occurred. Hallelujah.
    Blessings,
    Janis

  • Thanks Ifeoma. I miss you. It has been far too long. Love your inspiration this morning. Let's raise our hands in praise and worship. You are next to Angela on Suzie's linkup today; her post is on my site.

  • Awesome title, Ifeoma! I left a comment over at the other blog also. Thanks for sharing with #SocialButterflySunday, my friend. Hope to see you link up again this week 🙂

  • Thank you! I LOVE to worship our Lord, especially through my own version of joyful noise (singing). When I am singing His praises, especially songs that are straight from His living word, I am winning the battle with my foe! Visiting from Titus 2sdays. Hi, I'm stopping over from Women with Intention Wednesdays. The title of this post caught my attention. Worship = Warship. Love it! This concept is a great way to start the new year. Thank you for this new perspective on spiritual warfare!

  • Love this so much! We have victory in Jesus and He is worthy of our worship! Thanks for sharing! Visiting you from the Worpshipful Wednesday Link-Up. Have a blessed week!

  • Such encouraging words! I love this: "Like in the days of Joshua, some huge barriers we experience requires we pick up our harp, dancing shoes, lift our voices, bow our hearts and raise our hands and simply worship." Worship brings strength and power as we surrender our problems and struggles to Jesus. Thank you. ♥

  • I wandered over from Meet Up Monday. I really enjoyed reading your blog!
    Come see me at http://www.organizedandsimplified.com

  • Yes friend running over now to finish reading. In 2015 my level of worship was elevated after having a supernatural encounter with the Lord. One of my friends is a warrior. I am always in awe at how she goes toe to toe head on with the enemy in prayer. It LEAPT in my spirit when I saw this title and the Lord said you are doing the same warfare when you worship. Mmm Sis this is good confirmation!

  • Great word play – play with deep meaning that is! 🙂

  • Blessings Ifeoma, …."when there are no words to say, worship the Lord.." I love that. Thank you for sharing today. Jean

Hi Ifeoma! What a great word and purpose for your new year! Being in an attitude of worship is really the best place for us to be. It lightens our hearts and brings joy to the Father. Win/win!!
    Blessings,

  • I'm a worship addict. Was when I was younger and now, as old, it's several times a day, a night, to focus on the Lord and worship, glorify, praise, honor our Heavenly Father. Can hardly wait to get to Heaven and truly see Him and many others. You grabbed my attention. Thank you!

  • In this hard season, worship is what is helping me to keep my mind and heart focused. Thank you for sharing at Weekend Whispers.

    • I pray all is well now.
Thank you for sharing your heart.

  • What a great mental image! I love this phrase! I need to remember to use worship as my warship!

  • I love the joining of these two words. In worship we keep our eyes on the Lord. Blessings!

    • Thanks Carol.
      Good to have you over.
      God Bless

  • What a great play on words! Heading over to read the rest!
