Unwrapping The Miracle In That Mess

I pondered a while… reclined my chair to a more comfortable position.

Here is the thing I missed!
The possibility of an unpleasant situation being a miracle in disguise.
That Failure was a Gift in disguise
The letter had come in, pretty much like every
other. But this time the contents were different.
They spelt rejection in every sense of it.
No!  Not wanted! Not good enough! Not You!
The very words I dread were staring me in the face and dancing like it had won me.
I agree I had been paralysed by the sentences
screaming failure.
“Where are you dear Lord?”
How can it be that the very words I least expected
came to my doorstep like every other package but this time the contents were far from
the same?
Suffice me to say, that in the depth of life troubles, it
is hard to see what good may come out of it.
In that place where I have suffered failure,
though it took some more months, there was ‘victory’ waiting at the end.
It had been a while before the Miracle of that encounter began to unfold.
Here I was humbled by the Lord through this encounter.

I am forever grateful for those circumstances because they were instrumental to building me up.

I have seen the Lord use those very places where
I have failed as gifts in disguise.
All I needed to do was ‘unwrap them’.
Bible
Reading: 1Timothy 1:12-16
Yes, we are His children and nothing that happens
to us misses His notice.
He doesn’t sleep off on duty.
The Lord never goes on a vacation.
That failure, that disappointment, that doctor’s report, that miserable situation could very well be “the Gift” you have
been waiting for.
Yes, it is what you least expect but there could
be a miracle, an open door, an opportunity in all of it.
When Job went through his challenges, there was no
telling how God was going to turn around his failures.
But God did!

There is a miracle in that failure.
IT IS TIME TO UNWRAP IT!
You can when you choose to see the other side of it!
Join me as I unwrap the Book “Overcome Failure: Get Back On Your Feet” Today this baby is born.
It is my greatest desire that this book no matter how small, tender or simple the words may be would heal someone, hold someone’s hand, help another and be blessing to all who read it in Jesus Name. Amen!

  • Rejection in any form is like death. At times it makes a person want to give up and never try again. Your rejection letter spoke volumes and even makes me hurt inside. Thank you for sharing your story and your lovely book launch with us here at Tell me a Story.

  • The Lord is so good at making everything into a gift! Thanks for sharing this at Booknificent Thursday on Mommynificent.com!

  • So true that God is never surprised when we experience these disappointments. He knows and cares and walks right through it with us.

  • Yes, God's grace fills our broken places! I love your new book, Ifeoma. I hope many people are as blessed by your words, as I was. Thank you for linking this post with Grace and Truth last week. I would love to feature it this Friday for G&T.

  • So true! I love that God can bring good out of even our failures and the challenges we face. It's important to go beyond the surface and look for that. Your post reminds me of Laura Story's song "Blessings" which is one of my favourites.

  • Great reminders, Ifeoma!

  • Ifeoma- so many good reminders! He uses everything to make us more like Him. What we think is meant to destroy us, is really meant to refine us.
Trying to imprint this so I can recall it when I want to grumble and self-pity.
    The book looks fantastic!
    Your #Grace&Truth neighbor,

  • Ifeoma, I'm stopping by from five minute Friday. I love that you are boldly helping others find God's gifts in difficult circumstances. When we turn our pain into praise, everything changes. He is never sleeping, right? He uses it all. Even when we can't see the next step. Congrats on your book!

  • When I'm tempted to mourn the loss of my health and career, I am called to remember the miracles…the dogs who would have died had I not been at a certain place at a certain time to take them in. They have a forever home now, and in comparison the sacrifices required of me were not great.

  • I love the idea you shared in the comments to go visit a blog and then comment there – I might just have to steal that idea myself!

  • Failure as a gift in disguise is such a God-centered way of looking at the challenges in life! Praying for much good to come from your new book!

  • Congratulations on your book launch today!! I have been so encouraged reading it, and sharing it over on my blog today! May the Lord bring great Blessings through the words that He has given you!!

  • I am so very proud of you, Ifeoma! It is hard to wait for God's miracle when you are in the middle of a mess. What a beautiful example of God's faithfulness to us in our darkness times. He can bring beauty out of anything. I am clinging to this truth today. Thanks for the encouragement!

  • And this you said and I loved –>'His grace fills our broken places.'

What a beautiful truth. And I am so grateful …
