An Invitiation To Freedom

Bible Readings: Isaiah 45:20-22 and Luke 13: 10-17

In our search for extraordinary moments in His presence, tranquility can permeate our hearts when we accept His invitation for freedom.

Freedom from entanglements,

a call to live deep and free in Him,

that’s the invitation He gives us.

Jesus is calling us to break free from these faceless bondage and cling to Him.

The peace we desire is found only in Christ.

Poor mortals! The world is a perpetual slave to its master.

The enemy has nothing to offer than bondage.

There are strange illnesses, addictions, terrible bondage, pain and despair in the world.

Just like the woman bowed over by the Spirit of infirmity.

Jesus saw all sorts of illnesses. He healed all manner of diseases and afflictions known in man.

This woman’s case was no different.

She was so bound by her ailment that it made her crouch and bent over.

She couldn’t walk up straight for eighteen long. Hard and painful years.

The enemy held her captive and made her abnormal.

How terrible what the enemy does!

While He was teaching in the synagogue on Sabbath, He noticed the poor woman. She possibly couldn’t look up to who was talking.

Jesus broke the norms and traditions.

He went over and healed her.

He gave her freedom from that bondage.

That same enemy holds lots of women today.

The captivity in different forms addictions, bondage of sin, in marriages and homes, career and finances, ministry etc.

The Good News is Jesus can and will set you free.

Jesus is the way to our freedom, the truth our heart needs and in Him is eternal life and peace forever.

Jesus is

the Truth

the escape plan

the freedom-giver

the chains-breaker

Maybe you are bent over by problems, family history of divorce, mental illness, depression, cancer, whatever infirmity the enemy dangles in your face, Jesus is the way.

He is the life you need.

There is power in the Name of Jesus to break every chain

Until we accept His invitation to a life of peace, there is no peace we can have because the world has no peace within it.

These nameless situations are worlds apart from peace.

An Invitation to freedom is an invitation to be saved.

When you are saved you don’t live in fear.

When you are saved, you are delivered from bondage.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Romans 8:15

Today, Jesus wants to give you a life of freedom. I hope you accept this invitation.

You are so on point. Our freedom starts in our homes. I am spending too much time praying on news events, school happenings, and community; all good things to pray about, but what I need is to start in my kitchen.

  • Thank you for sharing this.

  • Dear Ifeoma, Oh, this is the other woman that I mentioned just a few days ago, that God has been leading me to study! What a true confirmation again–He is leading along the pathway to true freedom! Thank you so much for sharing the words that God gives you! –Hugs and Blessings!

  • This is what everyone is looking for – but in all the wrong place: freedom inside our own life to be what God designed us to be.

  • I think we make everything too complicated when what we really need to do is run to Jesus. He alone has the power to help or heal us!

  • Another beautiful inspiration, my friend. Always a good time visiting here.
