She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. Proverbs 31:22
The virtuous woman is not carelessly dressed. She carefully makes coverings. Silk and Purple signifies royalty and divine service (See Mark 15:17). This woman knows her worth and carries herself in that manner. She doesn’t negotiate her appearance for anything less. She does not appear shamefully or whorish.
Does it mean God is concerned with how we clothe ourselves?
She is clothed with dignity and royalty. She is not covered with shame or filth. Dear sister, take care what you are covered in. Let God’s glory be manifested in your life.
Prayer
Dear Father, cover me with your Glory. Let others see Jesus in me. May I not represent you shamefully whether at work or at home. May my clothing express divine royalty and perfect grace in Jesus name.
