God’s Promises of Rest For His People

7 Promises of God For Rest You Need Today

What is God’s Promise for you?

Have you spent time on your own pulling out promise after promise God has for you?

Every Word of God can powerfully transform lives when we believe and rightly apply the Truth.

Recently, I spent some days reminiscing on how good it is to know that our yoke and burden of sin was borne by Christ. He nailed it to the cross. Which means you and I can enjoy round about rest and freedom through Christ Jesus. Wow, what a gift!

Just that assurance brought much needed hope I desperately needed.

Again I ask, do you spend some time diligently searching out God’s promise for you?

Let’s do a study through Matthew 11:28-30, Zephaniah 3:1-20

Here’s a summary for you.

7 Promises of God for You Today

A remnant remains. There is a remnant of God’s people who have not corrupted themselves and God has promised a rest for them. Hosea 7:11-16

What corrupts your service?

What makes your thoughts impure towards the Lord?

There is a rest for those who serve the Lord. It is not in vain to love the Lord and to serve Him with all your heart. We have an eternal hope. We know who we are and the promise of our Father. Zephaniah 3:9

God cares that you live without fear. Pandemic or not, God is good and His promise stands true. To live in fear is the deception of the enemy. Isaiah 62:1 and Zephaniah 3:13

You can trust in God’s promise for you. God will always fulfill his promises of rest for His people. There’s rest for those who wait for the Lord. I’m waiting to see the glorious day of His coming. I am waiting to enter into the place of eternal rest. Nothing keeps the soul going than hope- hope in the eternal promise. 1 Kings 8:56

You can trust God’s victory over your enemies. No matter what stands in your way, God knows how to take your obstacles away and your eyes don’t behold evil. Zephaniah 3:15

Write out Zephaniah 3:17 in your Journal.

To enjoy God’s Rest we have to return to Him. We have to turn away from idols that deceive us and from all unrighteousness and seek God will all our hearts. Isaiah 28:12 and Hosea 6:1-3

God is for you. What a consolation to know the Lord is in your midst. You can depend on Him, dear one. Jeremiah 50:34, Psalm 56

“It is finished”- A New Door Opened

“It is finished” The significance of the phrase surfaced. That phrase opened a whole new chapter. It handed you and me the privilege to the throne of grace without a veil of covering. A precious door was opened wide for us who believe in Christ.

As I ponder long and hard on this phrase, a longing and hunger stirred up within my soul. A soul deep satisfaction, Christ alone can fulfill. Not long, this prayer remained on my heart.

“Lord, keep me longing for you more than anything. Keep my soul panting and seeking after you.”

What did Christ mean?

What was finished?

The phrase means the completion of the assignment, the purpose, of what he was designed to do (John 17:4).

What was Christ assignment? To understand better, let’s study through Isaiah 9:6 and Isaiah 61:1.

In your journal, make a list of His prophetic assignment.

Christ has handed over to us…

Sanctification, Redemption, and Righteousness 1 Corinthians 1:29-31

Salvation 1 Timothy 1:15

Eternal Life John 3:16

Victory 1 John 5:4

What is finished? Again, what did Christ mean by these words?

Your transgressions is blotted, you enjoy divine forgiveness (Colossians 2:14)

Of your failures you are not condemned (Romans 8:1)

Your redemption is sure (Ephesians 1:7)

Of your struggles, you will have victory (1 Corinthians 15:57)

You are free to live in Christ. It is such a gift to rest on what Christ has done.

As we conclude on this REST BIBLE Study, spend time in the upper room. Ask the Holy Spirit to pour into you fresh oil and grace for the journey ahead. This is the time to let go of distractions and hold firmly to the Word of Truth.

When you are in Christ you fight from the place of victory. Not what He was going to do but from what has been completed.

Ponder on these a while:

Are you resting on the promises of God? (Hebrews 6:18)

Are you resting on his unfailing Word for you? (Psalm 48:14)

Are you resting on the eternal hope? (Revelation 21:4)

Through enduring trust in God’s promise of eternal rest for His children, we enter His promise of rest, Persevering and patiently contending for the faith, standing till our day is done.  Revelation 2:10, 2:25-26,

Seven Psalms of Rest You need: Psalm 3, 4, 23, 73, 91, 118, 128

Sister, it is time to rest in Christ Jesus
