An Invitation to Freedom

An Invitation to Freedom

Bible Readings: Isaiah 45:20-22 and Luke 13: 10-17

When we seek those extraordinary moments in His presence, a deep and gentle calm can fill our hearts as we embrace His call to freedom.

Freedom from entanglements,

an invitation to dive deep and live freely in Him,

That’s the invitation He gives us.

Jesus calls us to shatter these unseen chains and hold tightly to Him.

The peace we desire is found only in Christ.

How fragile we are! The world remains endlessly chained to its master.

The enemy brings only chains and captivity.

All around us are strange illnesses, addictions, heavy chains of pain and despair.

Just like the woman bowed over by the Spirit of infirmity.

Jesus saw all sorts of illnesses. He healed all manner of diseases and afflictions known in man.

This woman’s case was no different.

Her suffering wrapped around her so tightly that she could only crouch, bent low to the ground.

For eighteen long, aching years, she could not stand tall.

The enemy kept her captive, twisting her life away from what was normal.

How heartbreaking the enemy’s works are!

As He taught in the synagogue that Sabbath, His eyes found the suffering woman. She may not have even been able to lift her gaze to see who spoke.

Jesus stepped beyond every tradition and expectation.

He crossed the distance and healed her.

He set her free from those chains.

That same enemy still holds many women captive today.

Captivity wears many faces: addiction, the grip of sin, struggles in marriage and home, battles in careers, finances, and even ministry.

The Good News is this: Jesus can and will set you free.

Jesus is the path to freedom, the truth our hearts long for, and in Him we find eternal life and lasting peace.

Jesus is

the Truth

the escape plan

the freedom-giver

the chains-breaker

Maybe you feel weighed down by problems, a family history of divorce, mental illness, depression, cancer, or whatever burden the enemy throws your way. Jesus is the way.

He is the life you need.

The Name of Jesus holds the power to break every chain.

Until we say yes to His invitation of peace, true peace will always escape us, for the world cannot give what it does not have.

These nameless struggles are galaxies away from peace.

To be invited to freedom is to be invited to salvation.

When you are saved, you don’t live in fear.

When you are saved, you are delivered from bondage.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Romans 8:15

Today, Jesus longs to give you a life of freedom. Will you accept His invitation?

Prayer

Lord, I thank you for the power of the Word to break chains over my life and circumstances. I thank you for the deliverance you have given me. Thank you for giving me the keys of David. In Jesus name, I decree that every chain of problems holding me, my family and my life bound be broken to pieces. Father, give me total deliverance from sin, bondage, sickness, afflictions, pain, and unfortunate incidents, in Jesus name. I want your peace to flood over my life. I want to know your freedom and peace in Jesus name.

By His Great Grace,
