The grasses sprung up quickly. I pull them up and pile them in a corner. They began to dry up. Unplugged from their life-giving place.
How does this describes us?
Apostle Paul rightly said, in Him we live, move and have our being (Acts 17:28). Outside that we are nothing. It is not the wealth, cars, position, fame, children etc. that makes us.
We are lifeless without Christ.
God’s love is life-giving,
God’s love is life-restoring,
God’s love is life-producing.
It has everything to do with life.
There is no love in the world capable of giving eternal life, save God’s love.
God’s love gives life.
Family Activity: Consider a widow, or someone who has suffered a loss recently. Offer them a meal or a gift pack. Show them Jesus loves them too.
Prayer: Thank you Lord for the love you have showered upon me. Thank you for the life you have given my soul.
