Prayer For The Overwhelmed; Lord Give Me A Hand

I know what
it means to be overwhelmed. The last month had been that way for me. Sadly, the
last weeks my struggle against time, schedule and plans grew.
And one
night I knew I had hit the brick wall. The brick wall was called overwhelmed!
I got off
the bed left everything including the books, materials I was reading, webpages
I have left open on the laptop. At this instance, I quit staring at my scheduled activities and deadlines on the diary.
Kneeling by
my bedside, the only word of prayer I could mutter was ‘Lord, Give Me A Hand’.
May be you
are overwhelmed right now.
Or maybe you
are worried Christmas is coming so early, no money for gifts, or no family ties
to call your own
Or maybe your
kid’s birthday is drawing close, you have barely enough to get through the day
and the last thing in your head is a gift.
Or maybe your
rent is overdue and there no help in sight.
Whatever pain
hurts strikes your heart, the Lord can give you a hand.
We all need
His help.
We can’t do
it on our own.
Everyday living
requires God’s help.
We need daily graces.
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.
Psalm 68: 19
His hand upon
your life makes the difference.
In that
overwhelmed state that bed side prayer was all I could think of. Thank God for His miracle of strength and
divine help.
It is
nothing with God to help us. His help is available for you if only you’d ask him
today.
And Asa cried unto the Lord his God, and said, Lord, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with
many, or with them that have no power: help us, O Lord our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we
go against this multitude. O Lord, thou art our God; let no man prevail against thee.
2 Chronicles 14:11

Prayer:
Dear Father, for everyone who is overwhelmed with life, or marriage, or
homemaking, or motherhood, or in any aspect of ministry give them a hand. Flood
us with your mercies. Saturate us with your strength. Give us the courage
to face what lies ahead and the wisdom to live daily in Jesus name. Let your
divine help reach us at our place of need in Jesus Name. Amen.
