When God Gives You A Voice

My sweet friend, Carol, recently invited me as a speaker at her place, “Sought After Women and Children Foundation”. Amid my tight schedule, my love for children and passion for women in faith made me wholeheartedly agree for that life-changing visit.
Let me tell you a bit about Carol…
She had been in the banking industry for no less than 15 years. She quit her job as a senior banking manager for a fast growing bank to pursue God’s calling upon her life.
Her family gave up their home to move to a small apartment just to house the children. It was a struggle initially following God’s leading but they did anyway. The orphanage home is over 8 years now and has housed 100+ children and counting.
My friend’s decision to live a life sold out to God brought me to tears. She abandoned
the high city life, busy business meetings, accolades and awards in career for a life giving hope and living for others.
Do you know what blessed my soul the most?
These Two things friends.
·
The kids there are so happy. I mean it! I wrote about it on Premium Times Post >>HERE<<
·    Her kids were so comfortable and completely bonded with their brothers and sisters. Carol’s kids played and spent a chunk of their time there too. A bond of love only God can give.
I am deeply moved by what Carol is doing rescuing the hopeless, giving hope to those who life have battered, finding joy in every moment she walks through the doors of their rooms. I appreciate her beloved husband Silver Oyaide’s support for his wife’s ministry.
They are making a MAD difference!
God requires us to give a voice to those who don’t have it.
Our love for God nudges us to show kindness.
The compassion of our hearts makes us abandon the world and pursue those things,
which are priceless and gracious, permanent and fulfilling.
For me the kids brought a ray of hope,
Their smile, made me smile too,
Their laughter poured out like sweet oil on my soul
Their playing gave me a glimpse of heaven’s joy

The foundation also has a home for rehabilitation of women called Home of Sharon. I
wrote about the sex trafficked girls who are rescued and given a second chance at life on Premium Times >>HERE<<
I had a splendid time with the kids and of course, my very energetic daughter didn’t
want to go home.
What can we learn from this real life story?
God has given you unique gifts. Yours is not mine and mine isn’t yours. You are special in every way and fit for the Master’s use. Are you willing? (Ephesians 4: 7-8)
God has placed in your hands a unique calling. He will ask you what you did with all the gifts he gave you! (Romans 14:12)
Without a willing heart, you can’t be that voiceYou need to be willing to say “Here am I Lord, send me”. (2 Corinthians 8:11-12)
When you step out to pursue God’s calling, everything begins to align in fulfillment.
Chime in friends, how have you been a voice lately? Have you been using the voice God has given you? Please feel free to share a word of encouragement and prayers for Carol!
By His Great Grace,
Ifeoma Samuel.
