Fighting For Hope Against All Odds

As the worship leader uttered these words,

I beseech thee Lord, let me see your throne,

I beseech thee Lord, let your glory know,

And I seek your face with all my heart,

I beseech thee Lord, show me your glory.

I took a pen and carved them out in my journal. Those words spoke to my soul centring my thoughts to what mattered most.

Tears filled my eyes.

My soul lifted in joy of the heavenly bliss God bestowed upon His people.

My deepest desires is to see the Lord in all of His glory when it is my day.

To be embraced by so deep a Love words cannot describe.

With joyful songs to see my name inscribed boldly in the Book of Life.

What is your deepest desire?

Are you fighting to see Hope?

Today, remember that your life here is temporary.

Everything will vanish quickly.

Nothing we see here should make us take our eyes from the glory that awaits us.

Every morning the blessedness of looking towards the heavens sweetly reminds me of a place called home where sorrow and pain dwell not.

All these things we face are, but for a short while.

All the persecutions, trials and temptations would not hinder us from seeing His glory.

That same Hope Abraham had against all odds.

The Hope that gave His heart courage to continually believe the Lord.

Although, he was well advanced in age, he never gave up.

He regarded not his age nor considered the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

But God… He proved Himself to be God in their case.

Are you Hoping against Hope?

Are you fighting to even see Hope?

(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: Romans 4:17-19

Is your case against Hope already?

Hope in seemingly impossible matters

Hope when deadness stares you in the face

Hope when the world jeers at your tears stained cheeks

Hope that the God whom you have believed of old will show up.

Hope when many consider God slow

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9

May be your struggle is with a terminal illness, chronic sickness, temporary infertility, invincible conditions that defy human reasoning or solutions.

Perhaps, you have been told to go home and wait to die.

Or you are in a worse financial situation.

Or you are stuck in a challenge too shameful to mention.

Would you trust God with me?

Abraham didn’t put all that trust in someone causal or a fictious God. Abraham knew well what the Living God could do. He understood the capacity of the One who had called him.

Do you know the God of Abraham?

Have you met Him?

Do you have a relationship with the Heavenly Father?

Hope knowing God will do His will whether or not it comes the way we expect.

Hope is resting in the arms of the author of our lives.

Not that we know what and when He will but we know He will do what is best for us.

When you have a relationship with God, your faith grows.

You don’t flutter about with doubt.

You want Hope against all odds?

You want to see that ray of Hope?

I invite you to know God intimately.

Go beyond what you’ve read or been told about Him.

I invite you to seek Him today with your whole heart.

There is hope even when the world says it’s over. That hope you will find only in Christ Jesus.

Fighting For Hope Against All Odds

  • Reminded as I read of this verse from Romans 5: Now hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts.
    Yes and Amen!

  • Hi Ifeoma, what wonderful and courageous words you’ve spoken here today, reminding us that everything we see is temporal and we must be heavenly minded. We all need hope so desperately. Thanks for sharing so boldly and candidly about how to hold on to hope and how to have hope of eternal life, through God’s son, Jesus Christ. I’m so happy to say that I know Him.

    Blessings to you, my sister.

I do know this God of all hope, Ifeoma and am blessed by Him daily. But as far as my faith in Him, sometimes that isn’t all it should be. I have an issue in my life that I feel is next to impossible. But I also know that I have a God who delights in doing the impossible! So this reminds me to focus on Him instead of my circumstances, my friend! Very inspiring!
