Why You Need To Study Your Bible

by IFEOMA SAMUEL May 7, 2019
by IFEOMA SAMUEL May 7, 2019

The Bible for many years has been misinterpreted, misrepresented and misused. Lately, fewer and fewer believers actually open up their bibles to read let alone give time to study the Word for themselves. At best most stick to the popular verses and hold on to well know stories. We are comfortable just scratching the surface of God’s Word for our life. There in your hand is a powerful sword, the Bible. A weapon the enemy dreads because He knows what will happen when we wield our sword. There are many reasons why you and I should take Bible Study seriously. In the first video in this course, “Why You Need to Study Your Bible“. I shed light on some of the benefits of getting into the Word. How To Be A Godly Friend

by IFEOMA SAMUEL April 17, 2019
by IFEOMA SAMUEL April 17, 2019

Bible Reading: Luke 10:27-37, Matthew 5:43-48 If showing kindness is reserved for those our circle, then we fail to capture the essence of this scripture Luke 10:27 Everything about friendship rests on this. Friendship is beyond borders of comfort and familiarity. It is propelled by love. The Samaritan did not know the man who was robbed. He wasn’t friends with him either but if he could do this for a random someone he saw laying on the walkway, how far would he go for a friend? Jesus illustration turns our human view of friendship upside down. We want to keep friends who give us back in return. We want to keep that close knit bond and restrict outside influences. While we may not be exactly friends with everyone you don’t need to someone before you render kindness sparkle. We don’t even need to know someone before we can show some care. While the world is a sick place but the…

    When Envy Threatens Your Relationships

by IFEOMA SAMUEL April 16, 2019
by IFEOMA SAMUEL April 16, 2019

For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. James 3:16 Comparison breeds envy. It is a deadly trap. There will always be those envious of us. There will be those who long to have the breathe we draw in the very life we live. Jonathan was nothing like his father. He had deep admiration for David while Saul had envy that sprout into hatred and an intoxicating desire to kill. We have seen this in previous Can you admire someone without being envious? More Bible Readings  1 Kings 4 Two women. Two babies. One room. One accident would reveal the condition of an envious heart. Numbers 16 They were brothers. They were family. They served in the same priesthood. Dathan, Korah and Abiram, their heart of envy and bitterness. The danger of hanging out with such people is their calamity would soon become yours and like the two hundred and fifty men who died along…

How To Handle Difficult Friendships: Betrayals

by IFEOMA SAMUEL April 14, 2019
by IFEOMA SAMUEL April 14, 2019

Bible Reading: Psalm 35, 2Samuel 15:12-31, 2 Samuel 16:23, Romans 12:17-21 She was pregnant and found out her friend had been saying lots of tales about her. She wept and cried sore. Not at this time. She told all their friends stories. Half true. Poorly painted. A tainted image. Defeated too powerless to fight. Surely she was numbed by the pain. As she shared her story with me, it felt as real as it was 10 years ago. The bitter taste still lingered. When a person turns her heart away from what is true, uniquely beautiful friendship breaks down allowing evil to sip into the relationship The enemy hates thriving relationships. He knows the potentials that lie in strong Christian alliances. Impure thoughts and attitudes unknowingly open doors to competition, rivalry, betrayal, backstab, gossip, undercutting, broken promises, soured business relationships, broken marriages, even murders and suicides. The church is not left out…with pastors and other stewards failing the trust of…

How To Break the Yoke Toxic Friendships:

by IFEOMA SAMUEL April 12, 2019
by IFEOMA SAMUEL April 12, 2019

God never imposes anything on us. Friendship is a choice. Through the Word, God shows us the rewards or consequences of our choices that is, what lies ahead of the path we choose, good or bad, life or death. His instructions are life and wisdom to all who follow them. This week we have seen lots of Biblical examples of Toxic Friendships. Today let’s delve into breaking the yoke and walking in freedom from their holds. Bible Study: Deuteronomy 7 SIX Ways To Break The Yoke of Toxic Friendships: 1.Living in obedience to the Word: All of God’s commands have blessings attached to them. In Deuteronomy 7, the scripture shows us how detailed God is and how so mindful He is of us. He is Jealous over His people. Journal Reflections Read all of Chapter 7 of Deuteronomy. The Cost of Toxic Friendships

by IFEOMA SAMUEL April 10, 2019
by IFEOMA SAMUEL April 10, 2019

We have examined how to identify toxic relationships. God willing we will examine the cost of such friendships in our lives. Loose ends and shifting standards are evident in today’s Christianity. Whether it is pressures from the LGBT community, abortions, sexual perversions, addictions, pornography etc. The Truth remains the Truth no matter how many denominations or governments endorse it, the we know God’s stand concerning them. Try the world may, to make them look morally right and appealing the Word of God has judged them already. Sin is sin and not negotiable before the Living God. God’s Word is above any humanistic theories, governments, neither is it subject to public opinions, debate or voting system or politically-right parties or broken human philosophies. Do I hear an AMEN? The Word of God is above our self indulgences, self gratifications or self will. It is us that should conform to Biblical standards through God’s help. How does this apply to our friendships…
