But God…..
God will always vindicate the innocent.
David’s kindness and courage captured the heart of his enemy’s own son.
Now that’s the reward of true faithfulness and steady diligence.
Jonathan revealed all about the plan to David.
Jonathan tried to calm his father’s fury, but peace was only fleeting.
David narrowly escaped the jealous king, who hurled javelins in his rage.
Even Michal, King Saul’s daughter, stepped in to save David—the very woman meant to bring chaos into his life. Check out Chapter 18 for the full story!

Reflections from 1 Samuel 20
When God stands with you, even your enemies can become unexpected allies.
God used Saul’s son to deliver David.
Jonathan loved David so much that he entered into a covenant with him.
Jonathan was deeply ashamed of his father’s relentless pursuit of an innocent man. Jealousy, envy, and rage are true enemies of peace, tearing apart even the closest friends and families. In a fit of wild jealousy, the king even tried to harm his own son.
But Jonathan was a good man who would not let innocent blood be shed, even with his throne under thrJonathan’s heart overflowed with love—pure, unwavering, and true.t Jonathan had was love…pure and true.
Can I share something with you, ladies?
Love doesn’t hold jealousy.
Love is sincerely happy for others.
Love longs to help others fulfil their dreams.
Love would protect the innocent.
What a remarkable heart!
To stand for truth, even when it means standing against your own father, takes incredible courage.
Sometimes, standing up for what’s right means facing those you love most.
Standing for truth is choosing what is right, no matter the cost.
Facing evil with truth is never easy, but it is always the righteous path.
By His Grace,
Ifeoma Samuel.
