When Quitting Feels Like the Only Thing To Do
OVERCOME FAILURE

When Quitting Feels Like the Only Thing To Do

We feel like reaching out
and hugging someone who shares the titbits about their personal struggles not
because we like their struggles but because a part of our heart can certianly
relate with their story.
Suddenly, we realise we are not alone.
Whether is the weariness
from mundane daily chores, or financial crunch biting hard on the family, or we
are recovering from deep health issues, or dealing with failed conceptions and
miscarriages, or struggles with adultery, pornography addictions, rebelling
kids, marital conflicts etc. the list is endless of what many a woman has to
handle in their daily lives.
We all have a fair share
of these stories and push so hard and eventually we really want to give!
So true, those times come
and press hard.
What can I say?
Don’t give up!
Don’t give in to that
inner tiredness and turmoil that seeks to snatch away your peace.
I have had those time too
when life felt so hard so painful. I felt like hiding away and I felt like
waking up and realising it is but a dream.
Are you haunted by the
truth, and struggling to come to terms with the fact that God is with you every
step of the way?
We can hide from ourselves
We can hide from those we
love
We can shield our pain
We can guard our
frustrations
But we can’t hideaway from
God.

You are stronger than you
know when your source of courage is rooted in God’s Word.
Once my dear friend like
many other women who was weary of life. She had thought of ending it all simply
shutting down.
Only God can grant us the peace at such times.
I hadn’t words enough to
comfort her.
I don’t have any magic
wand to wield away her problems.
The only thing I knew deep
down of me was, she was going to make it through her mountain of problems.
Cast not away therefore your
confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
Hebrews 10:35
There is hope

There is light at the end
of the tunnel

There is comfort in His
Words

There is someone who cares
about you

There is Jesus at the door
of your heart. Can you let Him in?
She struggled to let God
into her life. She thought she could figure out a way to get out of her messy
case.
As she opened her heart,
she could feel His peace flush over her soul. Her life is a lot better now.
Thank God.

Like her, I ask you to,

à humbly surrender
à lay down your burden
à cast your cares at His feet

à let Jesus into your heart
today

When last did you spend some time with your Maker?
Did you ever tell Him
about what you are going through?
Are you reading this and
you feel like giving up?
Could you wait one more day?
Could you hang on just a bit?
See what the Lord has said;
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount
up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk,
and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31
Keep Holding on there is a
miracle on your way.
I Do Believe, do you?

  • Quitting is NOT an option. Thank you for sharing with us here at Tell me a Story.

  • Ifeoma, the story of your friend resonated with my heart. There was a point, long ago, where I was ready to end my life. Such hopelessness and pain. But God…Yes, Him. I held fast to the sliver of hope I could see and He pulled me through. I am sure you brought much more comfort to your friend than you will ever realize.
Thanks for linking up with Grace and Truth.

  • I love, love, love the quote on the image of the two girls! I'll be sharing it! Thank you for sharing this at Booknificent Thursday on Mommynificent.com this week.

  • Oh, yes! I can relate to feeling like giving up. In fact, I recently wrote about it in my blog, too! God never lets us go, though!

  • Thanks for this encouragement, I am already at this point of my life where i am more committed in quitting in my job but thanks to yo for all the reasons you laid down here to continue on and hpe for the best,

    MOre power!

  • Thank you for these great Scriptures and thoughts! I am so grateful for the encouragement your book is offering also. My latest thoughts were connected with your section on how Mary believed the Word spoken to her. What sweet reminders to keep believing HIS Word in our lives too! –Blessings to you!

  • Ifeoma! Thanks for the encouraging post and the book : ) So enjoying the preview. In one chapter you talk about being gracious even in something like regularly typing a word incorrectly. I have some of those, too! How freeing it is to accept the imperfection and be gracious in it instead of regarding it as failure! Thank you!

  • Ifeoma, I enjoyed reading this post! Such great encouragement!
