The Anchored Woman Bible Study

The Anchored Woman Bible Study

My heart longs for a deeper connection. The love of God draws us closer to His Secret place. We find comfort in the shadow of wings. His feathers keeps us safe.

What is the anchor of your soul?

One thing I have desired and that will I seek after…(Psalm 27:4)

David grasped the essence of His constant presence. As He fought every war, conquered nations and brought his enemies to their knees, David could have asked for anything life could offer. But David desired One thing alone.

The Anchored Woman Bible Study

I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold I’d rather be his than have riches untold
I’d rather have Jesus than houses or land
Yes I’d rather be led by his nail pierced hands
Than to be the king of a  best domain and beheld in sins dread sway
I’d rather have Jesus than anything this world affords today – Jim Reeves

The hymn stringed the cords of my heart.

Tears flowed as I poured my thoughts of love on Him.

The old song brought memories of God’s love. I could just lay there in His presence forever.

What can we give to show how much we love Him?

What do we own that He has not given us?

My heart longs for a deeper connection. The love of God draws us closer to His Secret place. We find comfort in the shadow of wings. His feathers keeps us safe.

What is the anchor of your soul?

One thing I have desired and that will I seek after…(Psalm 27:4)

David grasped the essence of His constant presence. As He fought every war, conquered nations and brought his enemies to their knees, David could have asked for anything life could offer. But David desired One thing alone.

That One Thing was the anchor of His Soul. The Lord meant everything to him. All he had accomplished was because God was with Him.

Life is unpredictable. Sometimes, it goes from one thing then to another

Will your broken chords still sing?

Will your anchor still in Him be?

We need an anchor to hold us when we are in the midst of the storms. If a person is not firmly anchored, she will be blown away by the winds of life.

Then I ask you once again, what anchors your soul?

Your anchor is a guarantee that trials don’t blow you away.

If your anchor is a weak support then you need to run quickly and get yourself planted on a rock higher, a firm foundation.

When you have anchor, the quicksands doesn’t bury you.

When your anchor is strong, the deep sea doesn’t drown you.

I invite you to this Brand New Online Bible Study “The Anchored Woman Bible Study“.

Your anchor is your confidence in the time of trials.

I want to be the woman who laughs at the storm.

I want to be a woman planted on the Living Rock.

Not shallowly planted but deeply rooted.

Let’s see where God will take us through this study.

As we go through the Easter Weekend let our thoughts be centred on Christ, His love, His Sacrifice. Let our hearts be rooted in the salvation we have received by His powerful redemption work.

You’d rather hold on to Jesus.

You’d rather be rooted in His Word

You’d rather have our soul anchored by the Rock. Enjoy this song!

  • Dear Ifeoma,
Oh, thank you so much for these precious words, and the beautiful song. That song was the favorite of my older brother who went to be with Jesus 12 years ago now. He was a minister and a missionary, and so often he ended his sermons by singing this song. Oh, may I also live my life with that song as my testimony too. Blessings to you this Easter dear friend.

    • Oh dear Bettie, wow! such memories!
That song is powerful… It is glaring that Jesus is all we need. So sorry to hear about your brother. But i am happy He lived for the Lord.
Blessings to you this weekend my dear friend.
