In today’s study, we will look closely at how to guard our hearts by the truth of the Gospel. I apologize for posting this entry later than expected.
May be you too have said this…..
“Tell a lie long enough, it starts to sound like the truth”.
Wrong. A lie no matter how long it has been told or how believable it seems or who have said it, remains a lie.
Ever since the serpent told Eve the life changing lie, it not only changed the course of history, it still remains a lie till today and the effects, destructive.

7 Ways You Can Guard Your Heart Against the Lies Of The Enemy
Flee from every appearance of evil. An appearance can be a suggestion, a movie scene, a flash thought from the past. Enough said, don’t give sin a chance. Don’t let the enemy get you to the negotiation table. There is no negotiation with the enemy. Period. 1 Thessalonians 5:22
Don’t be trapped by your words. Death and life are in your tongue. We know this but yet we continue to let the enemy trap us with the words we have spoken consciously or otherwise. Speak life. Don’t say the lies that you have heard. Proverbs 18:21
Put On Christ. Imagine putting on Christ as you would wear your favorite dress? There is nothing in the world that should make you put Him off. To put on Christ means to have the Word in your heart. Galatians 3:27
Be Always Alert. Take extra care with the people you let into your life, places that remind you of those lies, the social media that traps you or even the TV commercials or programs that contradict the Truth. Be vigilant. Be alert. 1 Peter 5:8
Untangle from the World. In as much as God’s grace is sufficient for us, we ought to remember that He is a God of Holiness. We can’t take on the affairs of the world. They are burdens that drag us down. We are soldiers of Christ and a good soldier is not entangled in the affairs of the world. 2 Timothy 2:4.
Guard Your Thoughts. Our thoughts are gateway to our hearts. Whatever can influence our thoughts finds its way into our hearts hence controlling our lives.
The punch line for all we have studied is rooted in this verse Philippians 4:8.
Weigh every thought in your heart. Filter them through the lens of the Word. Whatever thought not matching up with this scripture should be discarded.
Your thoughts have got to be tested against these attributes Truth, Purity, Just, Honest, Lovely, of Good Report, with Virtue and Praise.
Thank you for joining us in this study. I hope it is a blessing to you as much as it is to me.
