Advent Day 7: You Have Peace

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called  Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

This child, this tiny baby in the manger, He was given to all of us.

What do we see when we look at this small image?

Do we see the One who will rule the world?

Our memories are stirred when we come to the manger every year. We hear the songs and take joy in this Season. But God sent Jesus for so much more than just one month of celebration. Through the life of this One every need we carry has been met.

Will I look to Jesus for my own guidance, and government?

Will I allow Him to counsel me, to bring me His peace, to guide me into the Father’s Love?

Prayer: Lord Jesus giving me seeing eyes, a listening ears and a heart of obedience in Jesus name. Amen

Family Activity: Pray over the government of the Land where you reside. Ask the Lord to reign over all circumstance and deliver peace to His people.
