21 Days Prayers For Wives Day 3

She will do him good and not evil all the days of his life. Proverbs 31:12

No person is good. We have no natural capacity to offer ‘Goodness’ because we are all fallen. But God is good. In Him is Goodness. It takes a truly Godly woman to do good. The virtuous woman will do her husband good all the days of her life. This is not a one-time thing or a conditional statement. It reveals consistency, an intentional and willing desire.

It sure takes grace to choose good over evil. The Holy Spirit gives us grace we need in our marriage and relationships. Sometimes showing goodness is hard if unforgiveness and resentment lurks.

Prayer

Father, give me a giving heart. Help me to have an open hand and an open heart to give. Help me to forgive my husband and choose compassion. Fill me up with your goodness and make me a spring flowing with the goodness you have endowed in me in Jesus name.

“It sure takes grace to choose good over evil.” Amen, and this is so true in our marriages. I find that if I focus on my husband’s faults I miss the good that he does. I’m praying that God will give me the grace to always speak with kindness no matter the situation. Praying for our husbands is also a wonderful way to come closer to them and to God.

Blessings to you, Ifeoma! You are full of wisdom and I appreciate you very much!

    • Amen, Gayl 😉 I am blessed reading your reflections!
I am praying more and more women choose the path of prayer and wisdom in marital life.
Thank you for your kind words. I give all Glory to God, friend.
Hugs and many Blessings to you

  • Thank you for these precious thoughts on consistency. How quickly I fall into the trap of a short or rough word. May I listen to the Holy Spirit’s promptings for good.

    • May God grant us the Grace to be consistent.
      Thank you dear friend.
      MightyBlessings to you
