God Still sends Ravens

Do you remember the story of the ravens feeding
And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread
and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook I Kings 17:6

I do and as a gentle reminder,
I would love to share a story about my dear friend.
Pull up your chair, read
and be encouraged.
She was faced with
being homeless, her marriage was on the rocks and business wasn’t doing good
either. I didn’t know her life had turned stormy but that fateful day the Lord
moved my heart to go over to her office. She shared her terrible situation with
me. I listened to her story.
My dear friend has
been faced with hardship. She had almost given up not until she decided to try
All I had to give was
to pray and so we did pray to God for a divine help.
I find it amazing
that God went over and beyond what we had expected. An old woman came to her
office less than a week after we had prayed. She gave her a huge amount of
money and had been buying her breakfast and stocking her groceries supplies everyday
since then.

A nice breakfast
every morning and groceries at weekend.
Of course my dear
friend got scared because she did not know what to make of it.
When my friend asked
her, “why are you helping me?”
You will not believe the
old lady’s response.
“The Lord led me to you and laid it in my heart to help you”.
It is almost two
months now and my dear friend has survived the worst. Things are getting into
Going Forward……
In the darkest
, we see God’s light like a touch that leads out of life’s pit into
His place of refuge.
God is able to raise
helpers that will rescue us.
Are you in trouble?

Are you broke and

Are you in need of
a helper?

Does God still send
ravens in forms of people?
Of Course!
He is our provider.
And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is
said to this day, In the mount of the
Lord it shall be seen.    Genesis 22:14
He is our sufficiency.
Not that we are sufficient
of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God
 2 Corinthians 3:5
He is our sustainer.
Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he
shall sustain thee: he shall
never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 55:22
He is our helper.
Behold, God is mine helper:
the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.        Psalm

My friend’s testimony
is a true story that God still has us in mind.
I strongly believe that
God can still send ravens to feed you. All you need is to trust Him.
Do you believe?
Lord you are my
sustainer and my provider. You know my every need and I believe you will supply
everything I need to live and thrive in Jesus Name.
Have you experienced
miraculous provision? On the other hand, did the testimony of my friend
encourage you?
I love to share and
learn more with you in the Comment section.

Ifeoma Samuel

  1. Amen! I have seen first hand the ravens of our Lord. Over the years my husband and I have fallen into hard times and yet the Lord sustained us, groceries and household needs found on the back of my husbands pick up truck, money sent to us in the mail, just to name a few. I too can say with David,
    I have been young, and now am old;
Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken,
Nor his descendants begging bread. Psalm 37:25
    Amen! He is Jehovah Jirah!

    • Hello friend, I am excited you came over to visit. Thank God for your family's testimony. It always refreshing to hear what the Lord is doing in the lives of those around us.
Thank you for sharing your heart here sweet friend.
Loads of blessings to you and your family.

  2. Hi Ifeoma! What a beautiful example of the Lord taking over and providing through the generosity of his children. I don't know why I'm so amazed! God loves your office mate so much…and you too! Your prayers were answered.

I have seen God provide in bringing children together with loving families in both foster care and adoption. It's a beautiful thing to see. God planned this to happen since the beginning of time, but being a part of it, or seeing it work out is a real work of His art.
    Monday blessings to you 🙂

    • Hello Ceil , her testimony also shocked me. We were trusting God for something but truthfully, I didn't think God will surpass our expectations. Ceil God is still in the Business of miracles. Thank you for your visit and sharing your experience.
      Many Blessings to you.

  3. I always loved the story of Elijah and the ravens. My son has experiencing this provision. We've taught and lived out tithing in front of him. He started giving and God has provided in amazing ways. He asked, "Do you think it's because I'm tithing? I said, well, duh? Funny, but still it's awesome!

    • Awesome, I love that you teach your son about basics. Tithing giving and helping are mysteries of faith.
God honors our faith in Him and will remember our own kindness too in the day of our troubles.

Thank you for sharing your son's testimony.

      Kindest Blessings Debbie.

    • Hmm, I also do. God proved that He still cared for her despite her giving in to life's troubles.
      He proved His love.
Thank you Carol for visiting and leaving a sweet comment too.
      Sweet blessings to you.

    • Hey friend. How are you?
Pay it forward that is fantastic.
When God sends us and we obey we become other people's miracles just like the old lady.

      Remain Blessed Andrew

  4. What a wonderful story of God's leading to send someone just at the right time. I am reminded of a time when our children were teens or semi-teens, and we had borrowed $1000 from the bank to drive to the World's Fair in New York. Our Pastor's wife phoned and said to come by before we leave, so we did – kids and all. Pastor Ayres took my husband out in the yard and gave him $400 and said God told him to do this and the Lord wanted us to have a good time. We were frugal but we did have a great time. What a blessing it is to be on the giving and also at times the receiving end. Thanks for sharing with us here at Tell me a Story.

    • Dear Aunt Hazel, just Wow! This is an awesome testimony. I love it when you come over and share your experiences and thoughts at the table.
So encouraging to have you over.
      Many Blessings to you.

  5. What a wonderful story of God's provision! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He was Abraham and Isaac's God, and He is that same God for us today. He has provided for me many times and in many different ways. One of my favorite verses is Psalm 55:22.
Thanks for sharing this blessing with us, Ifeoma.
Always good to see you! 🙂

    • Wonderful sharing your testimony. God has been so good to us. In more ways than we can imagine He has been providing.
Thank you for stopping by. And very encouraging to see you you here.
      Kindest Blessings to you.

  6. Well, how did I miss this detail in the scriptures? You have provided a new learning for me today and I LOVE the image of ravens following God's command to nurture His chosen child. I must mention it was your photo composition caught my attention first…love the font design and color.

    • Hello Lisa, how nice to see you here today. Hah! so glad you have a takeaway.
You are the first to give a nice comment about photos. I am feeling happy.
      Nice to meet you.
      Many Blessings to you

  8. What an amazing story. It's so encouraging hearing about God's answer to prayer, especially in such desperate situations. I'm so pleased for your friend 🙂

  9. I LOVE to hear testimonies of God's provision and action in a person's life! Thank you for sharing this amazing story!

My husband had been out of work for nine months. I was a new believer and the Lord used that hardship to ultimately draw my husband to Himself. Our last unemployment check had come and there were no more extensions, we had used up all of our savings and were down to counting pennies. We had already been eating pasta four times a week to get by.

I remember it like it was yesterday, I got on my stationary bike and pedaled as fast as I could as I plead our case to the Lord asking Him to show Himself in a mighty way.

The next day, three things happened…

We found out the Government had ruled to add another extension to unemployment. (at that time a lot of people were unemployed)
We received a check from a church benevolent fund in the amount of $250 for groceries.
My husband was contacted for a job interview which job he ultimately got and is still works at to this day.

Praising God for His provision in his Children's lives. 🙂

    • Oh lovely, lovely.
I love it when God shows up unexpectedly.
Praise God for your testimony. I know people will read this and be encouraged.
Thank you so much for sharing your family's testimony here.
      I am blessed reading this.
      Many Blessings to you friend.

  10. I'm visiting from FMF. Yours is the second blog I read this morning that speaks of hope and God's provision in an impossible situation. What a wonderful reminder that God can even send ravens (or little old women) to help us in our time of need. Your post stirs up hope. I've seen God provide in miraculous ways and expeierenced it, too. One such story is here: https://bringbread.wordpress.com/2014/02/11/unclench-the-fist-you-arent-holding-anything-anyway/
    Many blessings, Colleen

    • Hi Colleen, I am grateful you hopped over to read. More than one reminder is needed.
I am going over to read right a way.
God still is in the business of divine provision .
      Precious Blessings to you Colleen.

  11. Ifeoma, I am thankful for this truth: "In the darkest night, we see God’s light like a touch that leads out of life’s pit into His place of refuge." And, yes, I have seen God's miraculous provision.

I remember that dark night as I drove home from the hospital after they wheeled him into surgery. I needed a change of clothes and God to meet me and remind me He walked through this with me. God's provision during that season when my husband was out of work was nothing short of a miracle, but it is that night in the car I remember most because in my darkness His light shone the brightest. Thank you, Ifeoma, for sharing your heart and a beautiful testimony at #IntentionalTuesday on Intentionally Pursuing. : )

    • Oh Crystal, what a touching testimony of God's goodness in your life. I am so grateful that God saw your family through.

Thank you my dear friend for sharing your testimony and encouraging many who are hoping for God to show up in their difficult cases.

      Precious Blessings to you Crystal.

  12. We received a couple of raven blessing this week. And we are so thankful that God does provide. I can tell story after story but one sticks out to me. I was raising my daughter alone. We had sewer problems that was estimated to cost us $3000 to $4000 dollars. The night before the back hoe was scheduled to start tearing up our yard a wonderful man from church called and gave me the name of another sewer man who came right over and the job ended up costing $50. Now that is God. Stopping by from Good Morning Monday.

  13. Thank you Ifeoma for sharing this great testimony with us at Good Morning Mondays. We had a serious car issue years back and just couldn't afford to get it fixed. Someone from our church gave us the money to pay for it. What a blessing that was and sometimes we have received money in the mail. GOD supplies all our needs, so now when we are prompted we help as much as we can because we have been given so much. Thanks and blessings.

    • Dear Terri, I love all the amazing testimonies that have been shared. .. I am excited we all have some stories to share and encourage one another.
      Thank you Terri.
      God bless
