When you feel Unnoticed

We all long to be appreciated and crave for a sense of belonging. Like a little child, we look up for that nod of approval from someone we love.
Oh, am I worth this much?” we are excited to ask ourselves.
Are you working too hard to get noticed?
Do you know God knows your name? God has your name written on His palm.
You are already noticed and watched over by the Lord. He cares for you beyond your thoughts.
Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. Isaiah 49:16
Sometimes our loneliness stems from trying hard to be accepted or to fit in to the “in-group”.
Here is the thing:
Do you need to be accepted by a so-called “in-group”?
Truthfully, you don’t need to belong to that “circle of friends” in order to feel loved or
Are you working hard to feel loved?
Good News is…..
“You are already loved with an everlasting love”.
God’s love is larger than life itself.
You will be surprised to see that there are amazing people God has placed in our lives who need our love and attention, who value and appreciate our care.
The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with
an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.  Jeremiah

Do you feel forgotten?
God is mindful of you and He will never forget you.
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have
compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget
Isaiah 49:15
♥ You don’t need to feel judged, inadequate or discontent in your friendships. Our friendships should bring out the best in us.
♥ Our friendships should be free of guilt but full of love and compassion.
There is no need to remain in a relationship where you feel repeatedly hurt. Be brave to address the uneasiness you feel and pray over it.
Let us look beyond the
group we wish we were a part of and
begin to look around to impart the lives of
those who really need us
I am glad God places people in our lives that really need our attention, care and love.
May God open our eyes to see people who need our love.
Just as Jesus did, let our friendships have positive impart, be meaningful and above all, let it count for something (1 John 3:16).
Prayer Point
Lord, open my eyes to see people you have placed in my life.
Help me dear Lord, to be a faithful friend to those you have blessed me with.

  1. Ifeoma … this is so good. If we're honest, we all experience this way more than we'd like to admit. All I can cling to is that I am so thankful that He loves me deeply …

Have a lovely week, friend …

  2. As of late I have been struggling with these emotions. Struggling with the fact that I don't have a group to be a part of nor do I fit in. Feeling like your on the outside is quite lonely but I have been digging deeper into God's word for comfort and guidance. Thank you so much for these words of comfort and hope. This morning I was actually reading Isaiah 49:16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me." I will cling to the fact that my Lord has me written upon His hand. He never excludes, forgets or rejects me. I am so truly grateful that His love is so vast and deep. Thank you for sharing this today. It has made a great difference for me. Much love. ♥

    • I am glad this article reached dug home for you. God will direct good friends into your life who will value you and impart positively into your life in Jesus Name.
God Bless Celi and remain encouraged.

  3. Hello there, Ifeoma. I'm visiting you from #TestimonyTuesday. You have a lot of truth here, wonderful scriptures about a topic that concerns us all. Who hasn't felt this way? I love that Isaiah 49 passage!

  4. Aw yes…and to think, the God of the Universe is mindful of US! How incredible is that! Such an inspiring post over at UNITE today! Thank you!

  5. We all need acceptance and it is good to know that in Christ Jesus, we are ACCEPTED in the beloved. Children especially need to be encouraged with kind uplifting words, – – and we too like a word or two at times to encourage us. That hand on the shoulder or woman to woman, a hug portrays love and understanding. Thank you for sharing with us here at Tell me a Story.

  6. The Lord was definitely speaking to me through this blog post. Just today I was having a pity party for myself feeling underappreciated and complaining about it.

I was most especially struck by the verse in Isaiah 49 "Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me." Your commentary on that verse was a wonderful reminder to me that even though I may feel forgotten at times, My Heavenly Father NEVER forgets me.

    Thanks so much for sharing!

  7. Yes we do need acceptance. We downright crave it, really. Learning to rest in the acceptance we have in Christ and not worry so much about the people…now that's a work in progress for me.

  8. As I tell my girls…there is no wrong in weeding your friendship garden. If you have weeds (mean, unhelpful, drama friends) your flowers (helpful, inspirational, supporting friends) can't grow. So it's time to get rid of the toxic friends.
